From a fort with swings, ramp & slide, to a playhouse for our grandbabies to play house in, on their visits to Minneapolis.
The next transformation will be to re-roof it with asphalt shingles and re-side it with vinyl siding.
It might even get a cupola for its roof!
Then painting of the interior, carpeting and re-connection of the electric.
Evelyn, Michael, Lillian and ????.... Come & Enjoy!
Here are some photos of the day.

P.S. Clark, Thanks again, for all your help!

Haha, funny!
You both look very professional with your yellow rain gear.
WE ARE PROFESSIONALS!!!!
Build...Demo.... We can do it ALL!
Dad J
a.k.a. Contractor Wannabe!
Those yellow rain suits look so familiar. I remember you and Bryan laying the patio in the rain.
I can't wait to go back to Minnesota. Oh how much fun it would be if we lived their right now.
Talk with you later.
Love,
Megieta
I can't believe that little Bobcat held the house up in the air while you cut the legs!
Nathanael,
This project was carefully and methodically planned out.
The Bobcat I rented was rated at 2500 Lbs. lifting capacity.
The difference was those 2500# is in a bucket attached to it.
I estimated the weight of the fort to be 900#. That weight however was quite a bit further out from the bucket location.
We made the initial cuts... Clark raised it up... and felt that we were just fine.
I made the lower cuts while he supported it with the Bobcat.
Not to worry however... I was wearing a "hardhat"!
Love you,
Dad J
P.S. Thanks for thinking like an engineer, however.
You are a smart one, dad.
I wish some of your talent rubbed off on me, but I must say I do feel that I'm ahead of "some of" the rest.
Black = Negative
Red = Positive
I wish I lived in MN so we could build something together and I could learn more. Soon though.
Love,
Mitchell....I mean boy child.
P.s. I won't take that joke as far as Sarash did/would.
Meg,
As I told you today, Jessica wasn't too excited about watching Dad work on the play house.
She didn't notice the care in which I removed the old cedar siding from around the windows.
Jessica did not notice the prep work for the new aluminum sofit, either!
I need someone to teach and mentor in the basics of remodeling & construction practices!
Come home soon!
Or, at least for a visit!
All kidding aside, we are so very thankful to our Lord, for the calling on Bryan's life, for the way he loves you and Lillian.
Love you all,
Dad J
