Where is the Hope?

Today as I was reflecting on yesterdays elections and their results, I was reminded of a song by Steven Curtis Chapman. I queued it up on the iPod so I could hear it again.

The song's title is "Heaven in the Real World".

Chuck Colson has a comment at the beginning of the song which states....

"Where is the hope? I meet millions who tell me that they feel demoralized by the decay around us. Where is the hope? The hope that each of us have is not in who governs us, or what laws are passed, or what great things that we do as a nation. Our hope is in the power of God working through the hearts of people, and that’s where our hope is in this country; that’s where our hope is in life."

"Heaven in the Real World,"

This is a good reminder to us all... to put our hope and trust in Christ alone...
for all other places are misdirected & futile!

Nice post dad.

Voting has never been so quick as last night.

I drove to the voting place, signed in, voted, turned in my ballet, and drove home in the matter of 15 minutes.

It was very nice.

You forgot to mention in your second to last post that Sarah was elected to a State Delegate, and being only a junior in highschool. I was only elected to be a Delegate in my precinct.

Mom and I were just saying last night how she is always one step ahead of her little sister.

Elected to state delegate

Engaged first

Married first

First to have baby girl

First to have a baby BOY

Oh yeah, beats me into Target with her two kids in the rain. While I have only one AND grand ma ma's help.

But I love her very much and she is my best friend.

Megita,

You are a good sister, and delightful daughter. You and Sarah, along with your husbands, have blessed us immensely!

We our very thankful to our Lord!
