As I was posting the previous posting to the blog, my cellphone "beeped" a message received tone.
Message reads:
GOT THE 2-6AM WATCH.
25 KNOTS WIND,
GENOA OUT MAKING 7 KNOTS,
LOVING LIFE. BRAD
I'll bet they would have liked this technology when Christopher Columbus sailed across the Atlantic.
REPLY:
GODSPEED DEAR BRAD & MATES!

I don't know if it would have been so good if Columbus had that technology... maybe he would have actually made it to India! PTL that Brad is safe and enjoying his time.
While Brad can't tell us of the details of their crossing due to satelite up-link costs.... here is a link to an interesting re-count of others who in 2002, did much the same crossing.

I think I'd be sea-sick!

GOOD NEWS!!!!!
Today I learned that Capt. Jack & Crew are posting, via satelite (sp?) phone, the the "Ships Log".
You can read along at:
http://www.breagan.com/shipslog/shipslog.shtml
Leg 09-2006
I've asked if they can include latitude / longitude coordinates so we can follow along.
Perhaps via Google Earth? I haven't got that far yet.
Our continued prayer for jouney mercies to Capt. Jack & crew.
